SHAKESPEARE FOR GIRLS
Emily is whittling a Shakespeare play into a feminist hero musical. Designed for maximum fun and positive female messaging, the show will be family friendly with roles open to actors of all races.
Shakespeare is Emily's first love and her introduction to the theatre, having grown up in London where seeing plays is cheap and common. She studied Shakespeare as a concentration within her English literature major at Wellesley College, was a proud member of the Shakespeare Society, and studied acting Shakespeare at NYU Grad Acting with teachers including Mark Wing-Davey, Rob Clare, David Hammond and Deb Hecht. Emily has written songs for many Shakespeare productions, including Much Ado About Nothing, Julius Caesar, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night.
Demos to come!
