Emily won the first ever Lilly Award for a Female Composer, the Go Write A Musical Award for $25,000 with supervision from Stacey Mindich (Dear Evan Hansen), and a residency at New York SongSpace. For the theatre, she writes both musical theatre and music for plays. Commissions include: The Cardinal for Cornerstone Theatre Company, songs for one-off concert events such as Black Lives Matter and Emancipation Day, and a piece for St. Paul's Cathedral, London.

Emily's music has been performed at various NYC venues including the Public Theater as part of Under the Radar Festival, Ars Nova ANT Fest, 54 Below, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Pearl Theatre Company, Studio Tisch, Sidewalk Café, Slipper Room, the Lark, Access Theatre, TBG Theatre, IRT Theatre, Dixon Place, Underground Lounge, Morbid Anatomy Museum, Cameos and Bowery Poetry Club. Emily was a resident artist at Shawn Randall's interdisciplinary show Symphonics Live. She is an alum of the Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project and the New Dramatists Composer-Librettist Studio.

Emily (left) played guitar, piano, viola, accordion, sang and acted in Tony Lawton and Alex Bechtel's The Light Princess at the Arden Theatre Company. Here's a video of the cast recording one of the songs from the show.
